Fricks (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a construction estimating and project management application published by Fricks Co. This policy describes how the Fricks mobile application (“App”) collects, uses, and protects your information.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information – email address and display name you provide when you sign up or log in.
• Project data – estimating figures, takeoff measurements, contract documents, and other content you enter in the App.
• Device information – device model, operating-system version, and a unique Expo push-notification token (only when you opt in to notifications).
• Usage analytics – anonymized interaction events collected through Expo's built-in diagnostics to help us improve the App. No advertising identifiers are collected.
• Photos – only when you explicitly choose to attach images to messages via the in-app photo picker. We do not access your photo library in the background.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Authenticate your identity and maintain your session.
• Deliver core App functionality: estimating, contracts, project management, training, and AI-assisted chat.
• Send push notifications about contract review completions and project updates (only if you enable them).
• Improve App performance and fix bugs.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data with:

• Service providers – cloud hosting (Expo/EAS, Appwrite) and AI services (OpenAI) that process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements.
• Legal obligations – if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in encrypted databases and transmitted over TLS. Authentication tokens are stored on-device using platform-secure storage (Keychain on iOS). We retain your data as long as your account is active; you may request deletion at any time.

5. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with:

• Expo / EAS – for over-the-air updates and push notifications.
• OpenAI – for AI-powered chat and contract analysis. Chat messages are sent to OpenAI’s API; OpenAI does not use this data to train models per their business terms.

6. Your Rights

• Access & portability – request a copy of data we hold about you.
• Correction – update inaccurate information.
• Deletion – request erasure of your account and associated data.
• Opt out of notifications – disable push notifications at any time through App settings or your device’s notification center.

7. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
